I had a round gutter that I attached it to. It's attached, the hole is huge so for those wondering if it will fit. yes, that will fit. I used tape and attached it. When it rained, the product did not unwind. Instead, the water formed a loop in the drain pipe and flowed out exactly where the water was supposed to drain. Maybe my drain was too LOW so the water couldn't pool and reach critical mass enough to push and rotate the pipe. I see other reviews on here complaining that it's not long enough. That's long. Seems a very long time ago. But if you have a drain low to the ground it doesn't seem to be collecting enough water for this product to work properly. I really thought this product would be like a case or something simple. That's all I was looking for.
