Review on Wi-Fi router TP-LINK Archer C54, black by Ada Smyk ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm satisfied with it, there are only some small flaws.

Excellent access point for users who don't put much stock in their own abilities:) Even though the load is only on WiFi and only 100 Mbps goes to the input, the stability of the work does not raise any questions about whether or not the hardware is functioning properly. I worked for a month and a half without ever hanging up. I was quite delighted with the radio's sensitivity; huge antennas enable you to increase the radius across which customers are dispersed, which pleased me very much. The test for torrents was successful; the server was able to withstand the load; it did not freeze up, and it did not crash (with less than fifty simultaneous downloads in both directions, I am aware that there is nothing, but what is rich). But there is a fly in the honey: the setup is too simple: there is no built-in console, no ssh / telnet server, there is not even a banal way to see the uptime of the router, and the logs are written with timestamps, which are the time interval from the moment the device was started. This is a good thing, but there is a fly in the honey: the setup is too simple (and not absolute time of the event). It is abundantly clear that this Wishlist has a great deal of specificity; however, after turning on a device for a few weeks, you develop a habit of monitoring it with a little bit more caution than you might otherwise, and the absence of such straightforward diagnostic tools does not add flexibility. In general, a device that is uncomplicated and lacks airs of pretense does not call attention to itself. There is nothing to be said about dependability just yet, but previous experience suggests that the devices used in this office pass away more frequently due to moral failings or as a result of the influence of external forces (such as a brick or a power surge) than they do because of some internal issues.

Pros
  • It is simple to set up and has wide antennas, so it captures and spreads wifi signals effectively.
Cons
  • LAN ports can only reach up to 100 Mbps, and the firmware does not include any utilities. However, further information regarding this topic can be found further down.
