My truck was rattling and sounding like diesel and the check engine light came on recently. When I checked the code it said that my camshaft timing solenoid was lagging beyond its limits. After some research, I found that everyone recommends using genuine OEM parts. I was able to find a link to this part thanks to a YouTube video. Once I was able to remove the gaskets, replacing the solenoids was a breeze. My 2004 5.4 liter F150 runs and sounds better now than it has in recent months.
