Beautiful but much smaller loops than I thought

I've been working on various loop yarn projects for a few months now. I wanted to make a blanket as a gift for a friend and was having trouble finding purple loop yarn (her favorite color). I usually use Bernat Alize EZ yarn, it's lovely, very soft and fluffy. I've also used Off The Hook (Lion brand) which is also good but not as fluffy as Bernat Alize. I decided to give Alize Puffy Fine Ombre Batik a try because the ombre colors are beautiful and the reviews on Revain and beyond have been pretty good. I was incredibly surprised to see how small the loops are. They are less than half the size of Bernat yarn. The purple yarn in the pictures is Alize and the blue yarn in the pictures is Bernat Alize. Don't get me wrong - this yarn is great. It is soft and silky yet very gentle. The loops aren't big enough to make some of the patterns I made with Bernat Alize so that will limit my options, but it's no less versatile. I'm a little worried about how it will hold up over time. If the threads that go through the yarn and form loops break, the product you are making will spoil. I think it's more suitable for scarves and hoodies than blankets, but I'll try. This blanket will not be as heavy or as warm as a Bernat Alize blanket, but I think it will make a nice, soft and light blanket. For reference, Lion brand yarn is approximately 7.5 yards per skein. Alize EZ is 18 yards per skein - Alize Puffy Fine is 79.8 yards which is approximately 4.5 skeins of Bernat Alize.
