Pleasantly bright light. The sensors work well, the motion sensor works well in low ambient light. Unfortunately, it powers the batteries. It replaced a similar model from another manufacturer that broke after a year. This model also uses 4 AA batteries. This will take a few months though (it's in my yard so it happens about 4-6 times a night when I walk the dog in and out). This can take a month with the same application. Unacceptable and it doesn't have a charging function like some have for alternative power supplies. I ended up finding another original type I bought (from another manufacturer) and replaced it with this one. Battery life was really the only downside to this flashlight, but for me it was a significant one.
