Connects easily to phone, controls are hard to read

I bought this for two reasons and it worked well (but not perfect ) for both: 1. The more typical reason I bought it was to mount it on the steering wheel so I could remotely control my phone's pause, volume and next/previous track functions what I often tethered each cable. or Bluetooth with my car's car system. Bluetooth connection to the phone was very easy and all control buttons work as expected. The two reasons I say "not quite" are: First, "form over function," as the saying goes. Everything is black, including the buttons, making the device extremely difficult to read without looking closely. This defeats the purpose of keeping your eyes on the road. It would be better if the button icons were painted with a contrasting or even glow-in-the-dark color, or if the buttons were made to appear as they are, like the typical right-pointing triangle button or square button. first stop etc so you can see on the field without looking at which button you are pressing. Second, my steering wheel is a bit thicker than the original because it has a steering wheel cover. This strap was very tight even without the handlebar cover and it takes some skill/strength to put it on the handlebars. The good news is that he's holding on. The first time around I had a heck of a lot of time to figure out how to attach the device to the strap mount so I urge you to look closely at the image on the product page which explains exactly how to push in and rotate properly. Do this and it works great.2. Although it didn't work while driving, I figured it might be useful when walking down the street or on a trail to keep my phone hidden. The device comes with a lanyard, but it's not ideal for runners, as it will bounce if you wear it around your neck. Also, as mentioned in reason #1 above, I still have to stop (so as not to trip) to read the button controls and make sure I'm clicking the right one. This defeats the purpose of not pulling out my phone when I still have to stop and stare to figure out what to press. My goal, which may require glue, tape or magic, is to find a way to attach this to what looks like a watch strap. This would be a much better solution that would allow me to wear this Bluetooth thing on my wrist for easy access. So... Not perfect, but pretty cool. It's small and light, which I like. I just wish it was easier to read the buttons and it would be nice if it came with a velcro strap long enough for you to attach it to your wrist.

Pros
  • PLAY MEDIA - volume control, pause/play, fast forward/rewind media with one touch
Cons
  • Some difficulties
