Product description is grossly wrong and $10 is not worth going through Amazon's return system. So I ordered this product for my model 242 air purifier to replace the carbon pre-filter. The description doesn't say it isn't a 1 for 1 replacement. This filter only fits on the cartridge and you have to use those nifty velcro straps to keep it in place. While the original filter, which is almost twice as long and thick, is held in place by small plastic tips built into the air cleaner itself. It's one thing if the filter was a little thicker so I could just use the pressure of the grill pressing on it to hold it in place. But it's just ridiculous. The picture I provided shows the size difference.
