Review on Efficient Magnetic Charging for Android Devices - Netdot Compatible Charger by Robert Farrar

Very weak magnet: cables and connections

I bought these hoping to make my life easier when it comes to charging my phone. The idea is certainly great, but poorly implemented in my opinion. Don't leave the phone anywhere unless the cord is slack and pulls it down. The connection used between the small part that remains inside your device and the cable it is connected to is inefficient. I think it's an 8 pin connector. Something like this should have a stronger connection, like a strong magnet, to keep your phone charged without worrying about accidentally bumping into the cord. The material used to coil the cable itself is quite strong, don't worry about the wire itself breaking. or cut. It's that criss-cross nylon material you've seen on other wires, but it's definitely stiff and strong. The connector itself, which plugs into your phone, sticks out a bit and is a little irritating to the eyes. . However, any type of connection like this would be visible and clunky in my opinion. It's not a deal breaker for me, but it definitely could be for others. Overall, the real problem with this charger is the lack of a solid connection between the phone and the cable. I used them for less than a week before deciding it was easier to use a standard USB-C cable and plug in my phone.

Pros
  • Improved compatibility, suitable for all Android devices EXCEPT Macbook, Essential Phone, Alcatel A50, Umidigi A1 Pro. The plugs are connected to the cable of the 3rd/5th Generation interchangeable but not compatible with 2nd generation NetDot cable or other cables.
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others
