Didn't work to ignite even after I took it to an auto mechanic. The locksmith said the transponder in it was not good. He replaced the chip in it with his own to make it work, which cost me $80 for the remote. Now after 2 months of work he still starts the car but doesn't stop to unlock the doors. It's important to understand that most fobs have two separate electronics: one for the ignition (which I had to replace for $80) and one for the door lock controls (didn't replace it, but it stopped working on both fobs) . . This was for a 2007 Mazda 6. Definitely not recommended! Look elsewhere! you have been warned
