I have purchased and used several Drilax hole saws including a 5 inch saw that I have used to cut through stone and mortar. 2 1/2" hole saw, I noticed that Drilax has a more expensive one and given my good experience with their other saws I figured I'd spend the extra money on a better one. DO NOT DO THIS! Since they are stone saws , they don't have a pilot attachment, which makes starting difficult. This problem isn't too difficult to solve with smooth edge saws, but as I've found with this more expensive model, the segmented edge makes it extremely difficult to start cutting. The saw dangles just go all over the place due to the segmented edge making it very difficult to start cutting where you want.Cheap models with south rims are significantly easier to work with.If you guide the saw with a jig or use a drill this is one great hole saw but for manual use forget it and buy a cheaper one!(I used it for cutting plaster.)
