I want to explain how it's done

I have a 2003 Honda Civic LX (coupe), last week my glass fell on the door and after opening the door panel I saw the wires attached to the sliders is lost. After some research this turned out to be a known issue with the Honda Civic 01-05 line as they have some flimsy plastic parts holding the wire heads. I bought this part to replace the regulator and it fit and worked great. And instead of having a mechanical one, I believe you can do it yourself. I'd love to explain how it's done, but YouTube already has a really helpful and descriptive video called "How to Install a Replace Power Front Window". Regulator and Motor Honda Civic 01-05'. The only difference in my case was the location of the screws near the window controls. In the video, the screws are accessible after removing the part under the window regulator panel. In my case I had to remove the top of the panel (the part where the window controls are). To do this, first loosen the (vertical) screw on the panel in the center of the cavity next to the controls (there may be a small cover on top). Then use the clamp to unclip the panel, pull from the front and push forward a bit but be careful not to pull too hard/too far as there is a connector underneath. Remove the connector and detach the panel from the door. The two screws mentioned in the video are in the middle and in the corner of the open area (the one in the corner was covered with fabric, so gently tug on the fabric to access it). My only complaint about this item is that the Product Info page on Amazon (like many other products) is not very informative, like some of the comments mentioned. You should do your own research before buying. It ONLY WORKS WITH COUPE and must be clearly written.
