I've had a heck of a time trying to get my original Apple MagSafe charger to work in the car with our iPhone 12 and no connection every few seconds which is gradually draining your phone's battery. I've tried several car chargers and thought it might be a phone compatibility issue. the smart charging capabilities of the iPhone 12 Pro Max or just not enough power for a huge phone. However, none of this explains why my wife's iPhone 12 Mini refused to charge. After thinking about the issue a little more, I found that the magnetic mount I placed the MagSafe charger on to attach it to the dash was to blame! Inductive charging uses electrical coils to charge the phone, which is the same basic principle as magnetism - so the magnetic mount on my car's air vent actually interrupted/nullified the electrical charging current. This little adapter solved the whole problem - no extra magnets needed. than MagSafe itself. Our phones now charge perfectly (and super fast thanks to the 45w car charger adapters I bought while troubleshooting). This adapter easily attaches to the car air vent with the included clip and even holds my giant iPhone 12 Pro Max securely for once. My MagSafe charger is installed. There's also a stand adapter that can be glued to the dash or other surface if a vent clip isn't used (I haven't tried). All in all, it's a great solution to a problem Apple has developed with its very expensive MagSafe chargers. The problem is easily solved by not having to make chargers magnetic in the first place. If you're having trouble with your MagSafe not charging or just want to securely mount it in your car, this is the perfect solution.
