Machine dried seat cover to remove lint from brand new fabric

I had high hopes for this cover and initial use was mediocre. This is one of only two products I have found that are 100% cotton and machine washable. This seat cover is all black with no branding/logo. The Tewteg seat cover is probably made of the best material; but the logo is too much and the color is not black. I washed 2 Seat Armor covers in a very small load. The main problem is that the new fabric has a large amount of villi that come off. The factory must process the fabric to remove excess lint before shipping. Buyer Warning: Machine wash these new seat covers, your washing machine and other clothing items contain a lot of black lint. high heat until completely dry. The tumble dryer should help remove a lot of the lint. We hope that on subsequent washes, the pile in the washing machine will be minimal. This seat cover could be improved. New fabric shouldn't shed a lot of lint. Also, the new fabric has a light scent that must have come from a textile mill. Addendum: after machine washing the seat cover 3 times in hot water, the smell is almost gone. The black color has faded a bit, but not much. After repeated machine drying, the pile became much less. Pros: - 100% cotton - All black, more sophisticated style - No logo or branding - Color is pretty good - Seams look solid - Fabric texture is quite nice - Machine washable Cons: - Huge amount of lint/fiber on first wash - Cloth had some odor from the packaging - No holes on the sides to attach the cover to the corner of the seat
