I am a husband and yes I didn't want to spend more than $100 initially. But with a new board at a good price, I replaced it. And it works perfectly. Stops, starts, deletes with delay, parks normally. No more stopping in the middle of the windshield. I'm a trained aircraft mechanic so it was easy for me. An inexperienced or semi-skilled person must be careful when installing or removing as rough handling may damage contacts or sockets. Apply a small amount of dielectric grease or DC4 to the 3 PCB pins and the weatherproof connector pins. Easy to install and reduce corrosion. Who knows when you'll be able to work on it again. This is the first on my 1995 Silverado, I bought a new one.
