I have ordered two devices: one stands in the kitchen and helps to light the burner and sometimes lights candles and the other is always busy lighting candles. Sparks most of the time even when fully charged - you have to tap it on a metal surface to help it jump the jump. This is a deeply disappointing new product and perhaps makes me wonder about quality control or design. (Usually the other device can start by itself.) I would like to return it, but I was hoping it would be better and work the same as the other one. I saw some other reviews that sounded similar so wanted to contribute to that score. It's a fairly basic device, so I only have one major complaint. Turning the device on and off requires three quick presses of a single button on the device. Both devices are completely unpredictable in terms of how fast "quick presses" should be - I have *so* problems disabling them that I often try multiple times or just give up and wait for a 10 second safe shutdown got to. There must be a better solution. Programming the device to be more responsive to different intervals/times would be great, or a dedicated on/off button would be great too. I had to remind people how to turn it on because triple tapping doesn't feel normal or intuitive. enough to buy. If they could fix the on/off situation and find the reason why some of them are bad, I would happily buy more. They make a great gift for people who love candles!
