The deep hum gets louder over time and eventually becomes unusable. Updated July 2, 2019

UPDATE July 2, 2019: Klipsch support finally got back to me with some good troubleshooting tips. Turns out the problem is on my end, so I'm upgrading it from 2 to 3. Why is it still only 3 you ask. And I answer: - Under ideal conditions they sound fantastic, but they seem extremely sensitive to current and ambient noise. All my other computer speakers don't have this problem; if no sound is sent to them from the computer, they are silent. They appear to buzz, buzz, hiss, or crackle when a bee farts a block away. - No on/off switch. The only way to turn them off is to turn them off or press a switch on a surge protector or similar device. If you could turn them off, maybe they wouldn't produce the stuff that causes the buzz to get louder over time. - At this price they should just work for basic 2.1 speakers. All this fuss with two satellites and a $150 subwoofer seems a bit ridiculous. - Still everything shows that when they work they sound amazing when there is no hum while all you hear should be silence. When they're good, they're great, but when they're bad, they're terrible. I wish I could return them. October 21, 2018: These speakers were disappointing out of the box. As soon as I plugged them in, I noticed a slight buzz in them that didn't change no matter how the volume was adjusted, be it with the remote or computer settings. It was so faint that I could ignore it, especially considering how awesome they usually sound. June 6, 2019: The hum became so loud that the speakers became unusable. I contacted Klipsch support and they diagnosed the faulty control box (preamp) and shipped it to me immediately under warranty. That solved the problem immediately and I was so happy. June 13, 2019: The hum is back, but only if the speakers are left plugged in overnight. I guess I'll turn them off for the night and use that. 6/18/2019: The hum isn't as loud as it used to be when Klipsch swapped the ECU, but it's still very annoying and annoying. I can not stand. It's always present when the speakers are plugged in, not just at night. I have contacted Klipsch support regarding this, let's see what they can do to resolve the issue. June 27, 2019: Klipsch responded quickly to my query last time. This time several days passed and I heard nothing. I bought these to replace my old, OLD speakers: a Logitech X-540 set I've had since 2002. They still work great, I just wanted a set of 2.1 speakers for an easy setup and went with the Klipsch because I thought they were high end and would work as a sort of 'poor man's monitor' . I'm very disappointed in them and think I'll probably end up selling them, but it's going to be difficult because I have to be honest with potential buyers and tell them they're basically junk unless they like a loud one , awkward buzz when there should be just silence.
