I think it's perfect and my kids will love it!

My parrots are very curious about what new product has appeared in their house. The bird house has a few problems, but nothing prevents them from using it. The metal ring in the hole is bent, but that's just a visual issue and the kids don't even notice. :) However, this same ring stands out because the wood is not as thick as this metal ring. It feels hard when you feel it. I made sure all sharp edges were smoothed out so my kids wouldn't get hurt. The fittings appear to be quite suitable for parrots, but the crate can become more difficult for larger birds. I put this in a cage so that if anything happens the bird house will be safe in its cage rather than running around with the cats. UPDATE 01/21/20. You tear up this box. The wood is very soft and now they have nothing to stand on. If your birds like to chew, you'll want a perch that bolts to the cage so they can get in safely. Because the metal ring is still sharp, she could grab the ring without the perch. I used one of her perches and she seems fine with that. And now that I've put the box in her cage, she's laid her first egg! Rschunimagu. No one told me she would lay an egg if she had a box. I just thought that Ducky and Gracie would like to get a better rest at the Nest. Dude, I still have a lot to learn. I saved them 5 years ago. You may think that I know all this. Good luck with your crate and if it produces eggs like mine. Much luck. Rschunimagu.
