LET'S RESIN UV LED Resin

I'm a bit of a fan of Let's Resin products and have always liked their standard two part epoxy, but wanted to try their UV resin for smaller projects and when you need a part done quickly. I will note that this new version of UV resin has less odor than their previous recipe. It's more liquid, which makes it easier for bubbles to burst. However, a more fluid environment means dome capacity is reduced and the tiny decorations can float or shift slightly in place. This resin is also pretty damn clear, so clear that small bits of dust, hair, or glitter can easily get caught in the layers if you're not careful. I don't see that as a bad thing, just remember to keep your workspace clean. Curing time is about the same as other resins if you use a nail salon UV lamp (which you should buy if you plan to work with UV resin regularly to get consistent results). I will note that this resin seems a little more prone to curing when using strong fluorescent lights as all fluorescent materials emit some amount of UV radiation. Just make sure you use filtered natural light or light with less UV radiation to extend your working hours. When using pigment powder, the thick luster and embellishments extend the time the resin is exposed to UV light to cure to avoid slight stickiness problems. This happens when it is not fully cured. I have avoided using alcohol or oil based inks as with most UV resins as even a small amount can change the chemistry of the resin and affect the resin's ability to cure. Stick to powder, glitter, and standard embellishments. Easy application, fast curing time and low odor. I find this to be a good UV resin for beginners.

Pros
  • LOW ODOR HARD TYPE UV LED RESIN: Made of high quality eco-friendly material. There is no strong odor before curing, it will disappear after curing.
Cons
  • Some small things
