I wish it was a little thicker so that no padding pad is needed and the measurements were more accurate (mat is approx 9.8 x 13). The rest of the sandy brown color is great! Not too light or dark; perfect for pets who might get into an accident or shed. Haven't vacuumed it yet so not sure if it will fall out but the shag looks well built. I'm not sure about the color fastness either, but I'll let you know after my first vacuum and spot cleaning. All in all a very good carpet. Neither in quality nor in price is it better or worse than store carpets, but here there were more color options. For anyone still looking, know that late fall/early winter is when local textile stores stock up for the year and offer the best discounts. I've learned this from more than one dealer, so if you find a color/style you like, you can very well get $1,000 rugs for about the same $250 as this one. I just couldn't find one for my pets (expensive discount rugs were natural fibers/wool/silk) so I came here for synthetics and a color that would most likely be pet friendly. Update: I removed the stains and Dyson vacuumed this vacuum and it still works. Also, one of my puppies is terrified of thunderstorms and tore a lot (I mean a big palm) of fibers in one tiny spot, but once they're fluffed up I can't even find a spot to take photos for you all. There have been about a dozen pet accidents that I repaired during the day with pet carpet cleaner, puppy pads, and an indoor dog yard, but it left no stains or odors. The texture of the carpet has not changed either.
