Runs but makes bearing noise

Tensioner fits snugly and works but there is a lot of bearing noise coming from the pulley. It is not audible on superficial inspection, but clearly perceptible on closer inspection. I'm just trying to keep my 1998 Durango running for a few months before buying a new truck, so I expect it to serve that purpose well. Details: I installed this tensioner along with the matching gatorback strap as a pair. After installation, a belt squeak could be heard, which was not there before. After examining all the belt driven accessories, I found a noticeable bearing noise coming from the pulley, making it the likely culprit for the squeak. I returned the original part (easily thanks to Revain's excellent returns policy) and received a replacement. Also the new pulley had a similar bearing noise and there was still a belt squeak. This time I put the belt on the belt and the squeak was significantly reduced (but the bearing noise is still there). 1 month update: still working fine, no change in performance/noise.
