This version is defective. I thought it was just the first one I bought but it's happened 2 now. At first I thought I might have overtightened it…. but the 2nd was not overtightened and the same problem occurred. The problem is that the nut pulls right through the plastic. This is a nut with a compression sleeve, the size of which is almost the same as the plastic hole. It should be bigger than the plastic hole but it isn't so it just comes out the other side. I got lucky on the 2nd and my girlfriend wanted to check out the mount after the ride, she literally just touched it and it fell off. I went for a walk the next morning and who knows, I would have found my Varia. did it fall down
