It's definitely not black and the pictures are deceiving. It's more of a faded nickel color which I don't like. But I didn't just buy it for the looks, so I still gave it 5 stars because I bought it mainly for the features. I have a couple of old Zippo lighters that need to be repaired or replaced so I can use their cases to turn three lighters into two good ones. I love the Zippo warranty and will probably only send in two internals to be repaired/replaced by Zippo. But if you are looking for a black lighter, this is NOT what you are looking for.
