This is a really good tool, although you may not need it right now. When you need it, you will be very glad to have it. Cutting tiles in a corner, sculpting and many other tasks where you need to trim something to fit, a contour gauge can really save time. The fact that this sensor is attached to the circuit makes it even easier to use. It's useful every day for DIYers, but when the time comes, you'll be happy to have it in your toolbox. Since it's not expensive, it's definitely a DIY purchase. I'm not sure it will be at the level of a pro who has to use this every day.
