Handy Brake Tool

I was looking for a brake repair job in the Yukon and decided to try this device. He worked. It's also a pretty unnecessary luxury. more convenient than using a C-clamp? Yes. Was this simple convenience worth the money I spent on it? Not really. Will it look cool when the other guys see me working the brakes? Maybe. I don't regret the purchase but I wouldn't replace it if it breaks. It's pretty solid. If I slowed down every day, and this is a big "opportunity", I might find that it's worth the money. The C-clamp can scratch the calipers and cause discomfort on round surfaces. It solves these problems in an elegant and simple way. A professional can take care of such things. The downsides are that it costs more than a couple of C-clamps, is very bulky in comparison, and is an extra tool to keep in mind. It's also a little odd to use until you get the hang of it, after that it's quick. So if you like lots of tools, have extra cash in your pocket, want to impress other guys or are a pro then you've come to the right place. Otherwise I suggest you use C clamps. I give it 5 stars because it does exactly what it's designed to do, it's very well made and I don't feel left out.
