Review on MASTERCOOL 52225 Infrared Thermometer Laser by Radney Taala

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very important! on Kitchen Gadgets

This is my first infrared thermometer I have ever bought. In terms of spot testing, the measurements are easily reproducible and appear accurate (I don't have equipment to test accuracy). The device is very easy to use. I just had to use the manual to activate the red laser pointer. The trigger button on the pistol is a bit tight. The immersion thermometer feels solid, but isn't as accurate or easy to read (it has a tiny dial). It was a bonus so can't complain too much. The body is solid and well designed. Pros: Adjustable emissivity, dot ratio of 30:1 (cheap ones are usually 8:1 to 12:1). Looks durable. Disadvantages: fixed release button, non-backlit display.
