Review on 🔧 ANCEL FX3000 Automotive OBD2 Scanner Vehicle Check Engine Transmission SRS ABS Code Reader Car EPB Oil Service Light SAS ABS BMS Reset Diagnostic Scan Tool by Jay Sterns

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Lots of features - Easy to use - Big clear screen

This is the third OBD2 scanner/diagnostic tool I've bought. I still love and use others, but this ANCEL FX3000 has a larger screen and a little more features than the others. Note: I'm still amazed at how cheap these OBD2 scanners are; I work in the weightlifting industry (motorcycles, quads, utvs etc) and the comparison tools we use are much more expensive than this and most of them have less functionality. What attracted me to the ANCEL FX3000 OBD2 scanner/diagnostic tool is that it has a higher resolution screen, has a built-in library of DTCs and definitions, has free updates through its website, and also gives you live data readings every time most monitored OBD2 systems on your vehicle. It also has the ability to capture and record streaming data. And unlike my cheaper OBD2 scanner/diagnostics tools, this FX3000 can read and clear engine codes as well as transmission, SRS and ABS readings and codes. It also runs up to 4 data streams on a single data chart. It also has the ability to turn off the warning lights (checks) and can perform an oil lamp reset as well as EPB (parking brake) disable, SAS calibration, ABS reset and BMS (battery monitoring system) reset. Before using the ANCEL FX3000 I visited the AncelTech website (no longer AncelDirect). After logging into my account (you will need to sign up for a free account if this is your first ANCEL product), I downloaded and installed the updater and then updated the scanner directly on the ANCEL FX3000 using the USB cable that came with it. (see screenshot) You can also update your ANCEL FX3000 using the supplied USB flash drive. After installing the latest updates, I was able to plug the ANCEL FX3000 into my truck and car's OBD2 diagnostic port to start testing all the functions. Once again I didn't read the manual and was able to navigate through all the settings and screens fairly quickly as the button layout is fairly intuitive and the tool prompts you on screen. (More advanced diagnostic and performance charts require some reading. I've just started using this diagnostic tool and so far have been pleased with the functionality and ease of use. The rubberized body makes it easy (and comfortable) to hold and the 4 navigation buttons are rubberized as well, which easy to navigate even with mechanic's gloves, the 4.0 TFT backlit screen is easy to read and like my other ANCEL OBD2 scanner the information screens are logically arranged and easy to navigate I will update this review.
