The hood fell on my head 3 times and ruined it. I started using 2x4s but sometimes they get in the way of my work so I decided to try them. Installation was very easy and once on they held the hood very well, even a smack was enough to hold the hood. The only problem I had unrelated to this product was removing the old ones. I poked around at the little spring clips for about 20 minutes before I could get all 4 to lift up and pop out. Good price and worth not having to deal with a crappy bonnet / risk of the bonnet falling on you.
