We've tried many brands of chemical-free, eco-friendly dishwasher capsules - more for chemical sensitivity than for big earth-saving tasks, I have to admit. While safe for chemical sensitivities in terms of ingredients and more "washable" than other brands, they leave a good grit in the detergent basket, though rarely in the rest of the washing machine. I realize we have a high-end dishwasher, so I suspect this might be a bigger issue on a low-to-mid range dishwasher or with shorter cycles. All natural pods tend to have shells that stick to others easily or crack due to a little moisture (don't touch any of them with your hands that are still damp from dishwashing), but they are particularly fragile. They outperform the method in terms of cleanliness, are also clean, but still have some functional deficiencies (brittle shell, slime residue) that could be improved. still searching
