Review on TYC 700065 Escape Replacement Assembly by Ralph Foster

This part works great on my 2006 Ford Escape. I also replaced the fan motor resistor as there was a lot of water and rust build up on both parts due to the clogged drain pipe. The fan motor comes with two new pieces of foam (but no instructions) and is of good overall quality with a nice black finish. Installation was pretty easy. First disconnect the wires from both the resistor and the old motor, then use a 5/16" socket wrench with a 6" extension to easily get at the 3 bolts. The hardest part was figuring out how to lower and rotate the plastic cover before it can be pulled out of the tight chamber. The new airflow is nice and powerful again, but the motor makes more noise (continuous hum) compared to the original OEM motor, hence I'm deducting 1 star.
