This is a better option than purchasing multiple 3/8" countersinks and star drill bits. However, it has some disadvantages. It has a lot of play which can lead to sloppy sinkholes if you don't have a steady hand. Second, with IPE, the sharpness of the drill and countersink wears off after 15-20 holes. This caused the drill to break in the hole. Luckily I had already drilled a 1/8" pilot hole and was able to push out the broken piece. So consider drilling the pilot holes with another regular drill bit. On the plus side you get 3 complete sets of countersinks and drill bits. Buy More than one of these for your deck I haven't tried the star drill set, today was my first day using the tool.
