Review on 🚲 Effortless Bike Pump Attachment: Zefal Doodad Plus Bicycle Pump Strap by Paul Tilden

Good product IF. - Accessory

. If you use it with a pump that does not put pressure on the upper and lower pipes. With my Zefal pump fitting snugly on the top and down tubes, use these spacer straps to flex the pump a bit. Bad idea. The rubber pieces are the same diameter on one side - that's the side adjacent to the seat tube. So far, so good. The other side of the rubber has two offset diameters designed to accommodate holes in the upper and lower pump handles on a larger diameter and the pump hose itself on a narrower one. Looks cool with the Zefal logo. at the belt ends, but at least for me it bends the pump. However, it's a good idea to also use it with a pump that fits snugly between the top and bottom tubes (like mine) so you don't cinzano yourself if the pump ever comes loose on a hard bump. You don't want the pump to get caught in the spokes of the rear wheel. Bad for the pump, bad for the spokes, bad for your health. I use mine with the rubber pieces on the seat tube pointing back towards the rear wheel and the straps wrapped around them, the seat tube and the pump. There is nothing between the seat tube and the pump. If the straps are too long, you could probably stick an empty film canister (if you're old enough to remember) into the rubber pieces opposite the rear wheel to take up the slack. Also, it would be a good idea to use double sided tape to secure the rubber pieces in fixed positions on the back of the seat tube.
