I needed a flush cutter with a top mount bearing to cut a 3/4 inch figured maple profile. I found the long straight cutting edges very aggressive and had to hang very close to my router and scramble up the cut of the material. After several rounds of the workpiece, I was able to get a clean surface with no burn marks. This cutter appealed to me not only because of its design, but also because it is said to be made of grade C3 carbide. Durability? I won't be able to assess the service life of the cutting edges for long. Based on the only job I've used it for, the carbide hasn't chipped and certainly not dulled.
