Review on πŸ“Ί HDJUNTUNKOR 12.5-inch Portable DVD Player with Swivel HD Display, 5-hour Battery, CD/DVD/SD/USB Support, Car Headrest Case, Charger by Ben Alvarez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Well-made DVD player with many functions. Be aware of the weight and is not designed to play Blu-ray discs

I have had a Craig brand portable DVD player for years. It had a 7-inch screen and was light (1Β½ pounds) to carry around and toss in your carry-on to watch DVDs on the plane. After 8 years it finally broke! And I decided to try this one - which has a 10.1 inch screen. It's well made and plays right out of the box (I don't need to charge the battery. As other reviews posted here have noted, it comes with just about every cable you'll need, and even a cable to play DVDs on a big screen -TV It's designed so you can play a DVD for your kids without them being able to reach the buttons (bottom spins) Another reviewer found it handy for creating desktop presentations You can actually add a flash drive (not included but REALLY cheap) to play an .avi file you made with a camera or PC so it doesn't apply to me The price is reasonable for a device of this size I would like to suggest you two things you should know: 1) The device is quite heavy. It weighs about 3 pounds (double my previous one) 2) This is a DVD/CD player. It will NOT play Blu-ray discs. So if you have Disney Blu-ray collection for your kids or play Blu-rays at home (on Blu-ray player), you can't play on this device. (My understanding is that the manufacturer has to pay a license fee to make Bluray players. I checked on Revain and found some portable BD players, but they are in the $200 range, so that fits your needs if You understand the weight issue, and more importantly, it can only play DVDs and music CDs.The manufacturer has a 30-day return policy.I hope you found this review informative and helpful.
