LARGE KEY SET: 2012 JEEP LIBERTY 4X4 SPORT

I recently purchased a used 2012 Jeep Liberty 4X4 Sport. The only key that came with it was quite broken and the remote control functions didn't work properly. The dealer agreed to replace 1 key fob free of charge and did so. I still prefer at least 2 perfectly working keys for each of my machines. The cheapest local option was $150 plus tax for the key. I didn't want to pay that much so I searched Revain and found these 2 keys for $30. I wasn't sure I could program them myself, but since the description listed a process that might work, I figured it was worth the risk, so I ordered them. I got them yesterday and today I took them to our local hardware store ACE and they cut both keys for $6. I looked at the programming procedures on the website they provided with two keys and it said I needed someone to program the keys because there was no self programming option for my car. I decided to try what I read anyway as I had 2 good keys. Here's what I did: 1. Inserted the 1st working (already programmed) key and turned it on without starting the car and left it for 3 seconds. 2. Insert the second operational (already programmed) key and turn it on without starting the car and leave it for 10 seconds. (After that, a small indicator similar to a "lightning flash" appears on the display). 3. Insert a new key (not programmed) and turn it on without starting the car and leave it for 30 seconds until the small flashing light goes out. After removing the key it was programmed and all unlock, lock, panic etc functions worked correctly and it worked to start the jeep. I repeated the same process on the other one and it worked again so I now have a total of 4 keys (3 brand new and one broke with the car) and it cost me less than $50. I hate how expensive computer chip keys can be but in my case this product was a very cheap success story. I recommend this product 100%.
