Review on TONMA Made In Japan Professional Pruning Shears - 8 Inch Premium Garden Scissors With Ergonomic Handle For Plants And Branches by Kim Jackson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just as good as I expected, which is to say, very good indeed

I have never been disappointed with a cutting tool which was made in Japan, from knives to nail clippers to saws. This pair of shears is also a winner.Very sharp implement, very smooth action, good ergonomics (although everyone's hand is different - I tend to wear a size 8.5 or 9 glove). I originally thought the smooth handles might be a bit slippery (but could always use plasti-dip or whatever if I needed to), but they actually provide a very nice grip despite the fairly smooth finish. They include an extra spring in the package in case you need to replace it. Can be disassembled if you want to sharpen them. Treat them well, and I expect they'll last a lifetime. (I recommend camellia oil if you want a non-petroleum-based oil to protect them between uses.)

Pros
  • Gardening & Lawn Care
Cons
  • The shears can be difficult to clean after use
