These are fine but don't over tighten or stress them or they will chip and snap
I made a hole in my hot tub and installed a sand filter and they have for this part works fine. But where I left the frame to get to the filter, I actually broke one of them while tightening the nut. You have to be very careful with them. Despite using pipe tape and eventually pipe thread sealant, I still had issues with leaking threaded connections. I never found out because I ended up taking two off and throwing them away leaving only a strong PVC pipe. through a wooden fence
