Don't rely on them in a deadlock.

They seem to be pretty well made until you use them. There is no force in the center of the spreader and as soon as you tighten it and then try to go forward, even at low speed, the spreader will flex and the chains will weaken. Luckily they didn't puncture the sidewall of my tire when they hit it with the edge of the metal. Stranded me and almost destroyed my tires.
