Review on πŸš— Midwest Can 1200 - Compact Gas Can with 1 Gallon Capacity for Efficient Fuel Storage by Larry Sabey

Terrible spout good for transferring fuel and grease

and white) what was received is all black and a completely different mechanism. My old Midwest glass had the usual Midwest glass problem of the spout locking ring snapping. I didn't look at first to see that they only sell the retaining ring (just over half the price of the entire can and spout). You can work with the new spout, but it really takes two hands (one holding the glass and the other holding the spout open). Why? Because it's a 1 gallon gas bottle and I only use it for small tools, for example. Trimmers, blowers, etc. Trying to force that spout against the gas tank of small tools and not douse yourself with gas would be difficult at best. Not worth returning this ridiculous grommet jig so I just use a new ring with an old working grommet (red and white). I don't know anyone who complains about gas spatter from old and painfully easy to use spouts - overly complex products for what is likely to be a very limited problem seem like a waste of time.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Don't like it is fine
