Review on πŸ’‘ Enhance Your Lighting Setup with Simpo Socket Adapter Converter Ballast for Maximum Efficiency by John Contreras

Great product when done right.

Excellent delivery time. I bought 88 of these outlets and they all worked. Firstly, this product converts a 4 pin CFL base to a medium sized E26 base (this can be found in every home appliance and lamp, standard incandescent base). Second, you need to know about electricity. You need to know what voltage you are working with, 120V, 277V, 208/240V. If you want to use the standard light bulbs you buy at the hardware store, you need to see if the voltage is 120V. 3. Disconnect the ballast from the device you are working on (make sure the device you are working on is switched off). After removing the ballast you have 4 wires going to the old 4 pin socket. In my case I had 2 red and 2 blue. I connected my 2 red ones to the hot wire and 2 blue ones to the neutral wire (you can test your wires with a voltage tester by checking each for ground, you need to turn on for that). Disconnect the power, look at the 4-pin socket and make a note of which pins your red wires go to (this is important as LED bulbs are polarity sensitive). Now look at the tab on the inside of the base of your new socket. You'll find it goes to one side of the connector where the pins are, mark those pins so you can align them with the mark you made on the old 4 pin connector. Plug in the outlet, install the lamp, make sure your red wires connect to the hot wire and your blue wires connect to the neutral wire. Turn on the power and the lamp will work. We replaced the 88-32 watt dfs with 65 watt LEDs with no problems with the bulbs. If you have trouble with one of the old 4-pin sockets, you can buy new ones from Amazon. Hope that helps.
