I think they just replace the seals. I replaced my very old steering gear just because it had about an inch and a half of play around the circumference of the steering wheel. I installed this remanufactured box and flushed/bled everything and not only was it very difficult to steer but I now had almost three inches of play in the steering wheel. I used it for a week and bled the system again hoping it gets better. Never done. I ordered a new box here from Revain and just replaced it a few days ago. It worked perfectly once installed. This seller returned my money but what a problem! Difficult part to replace. Don't waste your money here.
