Please read this before purchasing so you know what you are getting.

I was looking for my first pair of motorcycle pants and in autumn I wanted waterproof ones that would block the wind, because when it gets cold here, the wind blows through my jeans and my feet get cold. Why I like them: For the price, they offer much better protection than jeans and I'm sure that wherever I stand in jeans, I'll be fine on my bike too. They are slightly warm and windproof, which is exactly what I wanted. I was looking for $300 tights before I found these, so I think I'm comparing them to these (albeit for the cost). They fit well, they are quite bulky as I expected. To be top pants, but I don't look like I did when I was a kid in snow pants. This is what waterproof pants should be like, worn over pants. Aside from the knee pads, which need breaking in, they're comfortable and while warm, they're not overly hot. So if I wear them on a day when the temperature hits the 70s, I'm fine. Cons: The knee pads are pretty uncomfortable (at least until they break), but I don't care, I paid 1/3 the price and will just order the good quality ones that come with these $16,350 pants. Given the price I don't care, won't even see if they will be comfortable although I'm pretty sure they will be based on the jacket I had with similar padding. Keep in mind that in saying this I was actually planning on replacing those pads when I bought these pants so you can be happy with the knee pads, once they rip give it a try. Zippers sometimes get caught in the lining when opening. but they are easy to navigate and don't open wide enough to put on with my boots. Again, for the price I agree, even some of the more expensive pants look like this if your legs are as big as mine. All in all: basically the perfect pants (considering the price) for my climate. If you live in an area where you can stand outside in jeans for a while, you'll probably be fine riding a bike in these temperatures. I can't say the knee pads are bad, it's just that when I bought it I intended to get higher quality knee pads because I feel like for about $100 I'm getting VERY close to $300 pants huh makes me happy I only wore them to test the fit and ride a quick lap around the block (it's quite warm today) so I can't comment on how well they wear and I won't be riding in the rain on purpose, so I will never test the waterproofing, but it looks like the waterproofing is working fine. In short, if you are not sure what to take with your pants, then I suggest taking them. If you live in an area where you need top pants 10 months out of the year that might be reason enough to spend three times as much but I suspect 3 pairs of these pants will last longer than one pair and these seem very protective to be .
