One of the primary uses of this kit is for use in T-rails that accept 1/4-20 bolt heads for use with Clamping jigs on work tables, CNC spoiler boards, drill tables, etc. Unfortunately, the hex screw heads included in this set are NOT suitable for this purpose. The UNC specification states that the hex head for a 1/4"-20 screw should be 7/16" (or 11.1125mm) cross section. The screw heads that came with this kit varied greatly in size (not a good sign to start with), but they were ALL oversized. They all come in sizes from 57/128" up to the next 128 and sizes from 11.24mm to 11.32mm. The rail I use accepts ALL store bought 1/4-20 bolts). They may fit you unless they are being used for a T-track or any other purpose that actually requires the head of the bolt to be a standard size The knobs themselves are fine but I doubt their durability/ Strength.They appear to be made from fairly cheap plastic that is molded in two separate pieces and then roughly fused together (with a nasty seam) after inserting a nut.I bought these because it saves me time 3D printing some pins would, and because I thought they might be stiffer, but I'm not sure they'll be stronger than anything I could 3D print myself.
