Review on Excelity® Ports Front Floppy Bracket by Aaron Allen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Passive USB3 dual port panel works like a charm

In my case it is neatly installed in the floppy drive slot. I had to trim the plastic of my case hole a bit, but that's the case's fault, not this bracket. I'd have to do the same thing if I installed anything else there. Once installed, I was able to plug the cable into my motherboard's internal USB 3 port (I didn't have any cable length issues on my system), and now I have two USB 3 ports on the front where I can easily reach them. I burn Linux images to MicroSD cards and it really helps. In case you're wondering, I'm using a SanDisk SDDR-B531 adapter to write to their ImageMate Pro or Extreme Plus MicroSD cards and I'm seeing write times of 70-90 MB/s. . Read time exceeds 125 megabytes per second. No, I do not work for them and have not received any product/payment for the mention. I'm just a happy customer, especially now that I don't have to reach for the back of my computer to get to the USB 3 ports!
