Great little product

Great little product. An absolute NIGHTMARE to install in my 3.5" bay. I installed this in my Dell XPS 7100. What should have taken 30 minutes took hours. Some because of my Dell case and others because of this product. While works fine the screws that matched the case were useless and even though I had 300 other case screws I couldn't find anything that would fit so I had to drill a bracket and rivet everything in place and it works great now.

  • Quick change

USB3 Extension from MB or Card to Front Panel

I used this device to extend USB 3.0 from a PCI-E USB 3.0 adapter card that offers an internal USB 3.0 port to the front panel of my PC. That works great. The main thing I like about the 2-port extension is that each port comes directly from the port in the header it connects to, rather than through a hub. One small thing I would have liked more is that the connectors on the panel are about a half inch (or more) further apart. So far this hasn't been a problem.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Crumpled

I connected it to an ASUSTek B450M-A motherboard in an Antec 300 case The screws provided were useless as they were too short but I had some screws that worked fine. Inserting a USB stick into each slot was a bit tight and required some force, but was acceptable as USB drives were otherwise recognized correctly. The bezel isn't exactly square, so one corner sticks out where the opposite side is a little like the bezel is slightly twisted, but it still fits well enough, just looks crappy. I…

Does what I need at an affordable price

This is a simple control panel with two USB 3.0 Type A ports on the front of the PC. It fits perfectly in the 3.5 inch drive bay. It's not a "hub" per se, but two ports wired to a 19-pin USB 3.0 header on the motherboard. additional ports, no loss of speed. It's well built, the connectors are secure, and the patch cord is strong and long enough to easily reach almost any motherboard connector. Other hubs offer multiple "A"s and/or "Cs". 'if you need them, but they also incur a higher price and…

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Periodicity

Works well. once you install it (good luck with that)

Sturdy build and works well. Doesn't fit in my case's external 3.5" bays. I tried using a 5.25" bay with an adapter instead, but of course it was too wide for the adapter. I ended up sawing off the adapter hole to make it taller. As another reviewer mentioned, the included screws are too short. Luckily, there were some matching screws in my box of random hardware. I downgraded the score for "Material Quality" as it doesn't have a specific category for "quality control".

  • Pleasant

  • Good but not great

Works well and fits great

Connecting USB3 devices to external blue ports via high speed extension cables has become a problem. I forgot my motherboard has a "front USB3 connector" (my case didn't support it) so I read the reviews and bought this one. It installed in less than a minute and both ports work great, delivering 110-150MB/s performance depending on the external drives. I wish I had made something useful out of this title a few years ago.

Passive USB3 dual port panel works like a charm

In my case it is neatly installed in the floppy drive slot. I had to trim the plastic of my case hole a bit, but that's the case's fault, not this bracket. I'd have to do the same thing if I installed anything else there. Once installed, I was able to plug the cable into my motherboard's internal USB 3 port (I didn't have any cable length issues on my system), and now I have two USB 3 ports on the front where I can easily reach them. I burn Linux images to MicroSD cards and it really helps. In…

Great for USB 3 On an old PC

I am using a 10 year old HP Desktop Media PC. It stores My Media & Movie files. This PC does not have USB 3. Excelity 2 USB 3.0 ports Front floppy drive bay The 20-pin hub mount makes a great solution for older USB 2-only PCs. It's a 3.5 device so I needed a 5, 25 adapter. I used the driver download disc that came with it and the results weren't very good. It only worked sometimes, but downloading the drivers from the website fixed everything.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • For an old
