I had to return this item as the ring was not connected. I bought it because I wanted to keep my gray parrot busy. I thought she could untie the knots in the ring. When it came in the mail and I saw it, I was just shocked by the way it looked. My bird would have disassembled it in half an hour or less considering how freely and cheaply it was assembled. The metal part was broken so I sent it back. It took forever for them to get my money back. But I got one. I will never buy another one again. beware!
