Received this just a day after purchasing O'Reilly's OTC version of 7921. I can't resist the temptation to compare what I've done. From a head-to-head perspective, this tool was more balanced than the over-the-counter tool. But out of respect for the more expensive OTC tool, I decided to test both. Conclusion: This relatively cheap instrument outperformed the more expensive OTC in terms of performance. I abused both when trying to really tighten the OEM wheel bearing locknut on my 2007 Tacoma Pre Runner. I used both in combination with an extension, a long ratchet and a sledgehammer when securing the hub and bearing to the table with 2 large clamps. Even the table couldn't withstand the struggle of forces, so I ended up on the floor with items clung to it. This tool had incredible gripping and pulling power. In the end the lock was fitted where it rightfully belongs: the lower part of the bushing, reinforced with Loctite to remove any doubt it would ever come out after I hammered the nut. I preferred it OTC because basically I didn't feel safe with OTC, its 4 prongs looked weak it might fall off on the first turn and I'm a seasoned DIY enthusiast. With this tool I was able to rotate the nut 360 degrees in one revolution and believe me it wasn't easy. I spent over 4 hours fixing the nut because I had to file the threads from accidental damage to fix and clean the bushing threads. It felt like a great accomplishment knowing that the nut will last as long as it lasts with this wonderful tool.
