They're good for open bikes where the barrel is on display. Every barrel style brush has a purpose and these are really good quality brushes that don't "spit" compared to others I've bought. Comfortable grips, good build quality, great length. The poles are plastic, but not cheap! That's exactly what I was hoping for when it comes to high-end wheels that have to dig deep. If you happen to bump into the plastic on the wheel, it doesn't give you that awful "click" sound. I am really impressed. If you want to move back and forth between very tight spaces and large panes, this brush may not be for you compared to their soft bristle wheel brush. I love the overall quality of these wool brushes on premium materials! It takes its place in my arsenal.
