Lamp failure due to bad crimping of pins
I bought this lamp on June 15th 2019 and installed it upon receipt. After about 2 months it became intermittent and I found that when the lamp wiggled it would turn on again for a while. I removed the bulb and ran a test by measuring the resistance of the filament circuits. I found that one of the two filament circuits is open and the other has a resistance of 4.2 ohms which I believe matches the resistance of the filament. The other two pins (shown in Photo 1) show one pin overheating, which I believe means the wire running through the pin has a loose connection due to poor crimping of the contacts at the factory, causing overheating, oxidation and subsequent failure . .
