Removed old filter, installed new filter but had difficulty fitting the filter to the long center post in the filter housing. The filter was very tight to put in place. The cover is mounted on the filter housing. Easily installed under the filter. With both filters in place, the procedure for filling the filters with fuel was performed according to the operations manual. After installing the filters, the car would not start. Removed the filter under the hood and found the inner part of the filter had separated from the outer filter. The piece of plastic at the bottom of the filter is broken. Got the old filter back on the truck so I could drive to the parts store and buy a new one. The truck started almost immediately after removing the defective filter.
