Review on πŸ”‹ Hitech iC-808UL-LCD 8-Bank Smart Quick Charger/Discharger with LCD Display for AA and AAA Batteries by Nelly Villanueva

Ideal for AA and AAA size batteries. but not suitable for C or D

This is a very compact charger that does a great job of charging and conditioning batteries. Please note that only AA and AAA are supported. No C, D or 9V. But the vast majority of devices I use take AA and AAA batteries anyway. It supports charging any combination of 8 AA or AAA batteries. In other words, you can charge 7 AA batteries and 1 AAA battery, etc. The slots have a cutout that fits any size without changing anything. Just plug in and get started. The 8 slots are divided into 2 separate banks of 4. Each bank has a discharge button that can effect the discharging and charging of the 4 batteries in their slots. Therefore, you cannot start discharging a separate battery. if he's not the only one in any bank. However, if you run out of 4 batteries, they can be discharged and charged individually. So I'm trying to put 4 batteries in at the same time and press the discharge button. Each battery fully discharges and then begins charging. This means that if you have 4 batteries of different capacities or with different remaining charges, it can take different amounts of time before they are completely discharged and recharged. But that's exactly what you want. Each battery is fully charged regardless of the status of the other batteries. You only have to start 4 at a time on each side. However, if you just want to charge the battery without draining it, you can always add a battery and it will just charge. The loading time is very fast. Much faster than our old Energizer charger which melted when my wife put the battery in the wrong way round. My only minor complaint is that this charger only supports AA and AAA. I have several rechargeable C and D cells and need to buy a separate charger for them. Our Energizer charger ran AA, AAA, C, D and 9V, but didn't have a discharge cycle and didn't have very good protection against incorrectly inserted batteries. Some older, weaker batteries are difficult to see. In this case, it reports that the battery is defective and does not start the charging process. I heard you can "skip" the battery to charge it up a bit. But I tend to just throw those low batteries away. Now when I do a conditioning cycle I don't run into bad batteries anymore anyway. Overall this is a really good charger and I give it 5 stars. Enjoy!
